Job Title: Financial Analyst I
Location: Lake Forest Illinois USA 60045
Duration: 7 months
Responsibilities include:
- Provide financial support for respective R&D team within Research (DxR) Diagnostics.
- Month-end close support including cost center tracking and reporting, and variance analysis
- Development of departmental spending and headcount forecasts for rolling LBE submissions
- Prepare financial packages and meet with R&D upper management regarding actuals/LBE
- Monthly deep dives into project-related spend inquiries
- Provide support to the team including:
- Own monthly, LBE, and Plan rollup file and process
- Run monthly processes for T&E, Payroll analysis, Balance Sheet updates, BU split reporting, Actuals tie out including Exchange, DPO Analysis, Reporting Package, and journal creation.
- Assist in managing the Royalty payment and actuals process.
- Ad-Hoc Projects
- Identify process improvements to streamline month-end close and other activities to decrease time and complexity of tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required -
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 1-2 years' Finance experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting or Financial Reporting).
- Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
- Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
Preferred
- Master's degree/CPA/CMA
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, innovative thinking and problem-solving ability
- Power-Excel user and previous experience with TM1 and/or Essbase
- Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of the organization
- Ability or aptitude to apply knowledge of financial processes, accounting methodologies and Division specific operations to lead complex planning processes and to support related systems and functions.
- Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions
