The role involves managing the Warehouse Manager, Production Manager, and Logistics Team, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and a collective culture within the plant.
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and revise operational policies, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
- Execute growth directives in collaboration with the CEO.
- Coordinate with department heads for financial planning and company-wide compliance.
- Manage warehouse operations, financial standards, and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate and coordinate work order/sales order requirements with various teams.
- Lead the production team for growth, working on marketing plans aligned with the company's strategy.
- Oversee the logistics team for efficient delivery of seeds to domestic and international buyers.
- Manage international shipments, custom house brokers, and documentation for export.
- Implement strategies to optimize day-to-day operations, increase production, and minimize costs.
- Address employee issues, collaborate with HR, and stay updated on production management best practices.
Skills, Qualifications, and Education:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Plant Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- 10 years of managerial experience, with a background in seed production.
- Professional certifications in operations management.
- Leadership training in decision-making, corporate governance, and strategic leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, root cause analysis, and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for plant operations.
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Spanish desired.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and travel locally and internationally.
Working Environment:
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work performed outdoors, in a standard office environment, and on farms in various conditions.
