- Provide hands on engineering of AWS Cloud security services for existing/new applications and systems.
- Maintain and support critical Cyber Security technologies including SIEM
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and business leadership and key stakeholders by acting as a trusted partner and demonstrating the value of cybersecurity
- Responsible for technical architecture and implementation of all cybersecurity including Cybersecurity Controls (firewalls, authentication, etc.) and Cybersecurity Systems (antivirus, content filtering, IPS, IDS etc.). This includes adjusting existing Cybersecurity infrastructure as well as evaluating new infrastructure to address new or increased threats/vulnerabilities
- Contribute to regulatory compliance, and adherence to IT Security Governance based on applicable COBIT, NIST, Critical Security Controls, etc. standards currently identified as the operational framework for the company.
- Mentor junior cybersecurity colleagues to support the continued maturity of the cybersecurity program and employee skill growth
- Develop new detective and investigative capabilities using current technical solutions, and grow cyber intelligence capabilities and networks
Knowledge and Skills
- 5 years hands on experience in security engineering
- Thorough understanding of Cloud security architectures and governance
- Skilled at driving cybersecurity initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience defining and delivering Cloud security controls (AWS/Azure) and familiarity with cloud security governance models
- Excellent operational planning, analytical thinking, process optimization, and execution skills
- Strong mentorship and technical thought leadership abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to educate and explain complex security information to non-technical audiences and build partnerships with both technical and non-technical teams
- Deep technical experience with Cybersecurity tools including:
- Cloud security architecture (AWS)
- SIEM
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
