Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Research Operations team as specialist (in a temporary capacity) reporting directly to the Global Head of Research Connect. The Research Connect team supports both Research and Sales professionals within the Markets business, as well as other consumers of research product and services across the broader organization. They provide technical support, project management and training on all Research product, applications, policies, procedures, staff skills and professional development programs.
Based in New York City, this position will play a key role in coordinating programs to deliver research content and related communications to both clients and internal constituents. The role would particularly suit an individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and a knowledge of the research business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with Product Owners and other members of the Research Connect team to understand business needs in Research and Sales as well as the technology that supports those needs.
- Creating and maintaining written materials including:
o Support materials such as Quick Reference Cards
o Email communications to broadcast various projects and technology available to users
o A weekly email advertising best practices and takeaways for users when engaging with different technology tools
o Research Connect website content that is always fresh and up to date - Providing editorial support to the Research Connect and Operations teams related to vetting training communications and PowerPoint decks.
Desired Skills and Experience: - Excellent writing and editing skills, especially with the ability to:
o Communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
o Use active, interesting language that is appropriate for a corporate culture.
o Express concepts in different tones for different distribution methods.
o Quickly come up-to-speed on all technology tools.
o Work comfortably in all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
o Work in an HTML platform to maintain a website - Ability to work closely with the Head of Research Connect and other team members to help implement communication initiatives that are in sync with key deployments and training plans
- Ability to work collaboratively within a global team to ensure messaging is timely and accurate across all regions
Qualifications: - 2-3 years working with financial professionals (preferably in Investment Research or Equity Sales), 2-3 years supporting technical applications (as a writer, trainer or on a help desk), or 2-3 years of other relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree
