We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lodging and food/beverage management and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the business, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work closely with HR to recruit and hire qualified staff members
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure a highly functioning and profitable organization
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase revenues
- Effectively manage the budgets to meet/exceed performance expectations
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hospitality management experience or a related field
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food service industry standards, and best practices to improve operational performance
- Proficiency in using related point-of-sale systems
- Able to work on site in a national park setting
- Familiarity with food production processes
Skills:
- Excellent leadership abilities that motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak operating season (May-October)
