We are currently seeking a Chemical/Thermal Engineer for our Thermal Sciences Practice in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the investigation and analysis of chemical and thermal systems, industrial processes, risk assessments, and fires and explosions.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing engineering calculations and analysis
- Assisting with risk assessment of industrial/chemical plants
- Assisting with fire origin/cause investigations
- Reviewing fire-related codes and standards
- Conducting laboratory testing and assessments
- Preparing proposals and technical reports, and presenting findings to clients
- Project work may require travel (within and outside of U.S.)
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical background in chemical processes and combustion
- Experience with fire origin/cause investigation is a plus
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience in executing experimental programs
- Strong desire and ability to tackle a wide variety of problems within and outside their direct area of expertise
