We are currently seeking a Principal Engineer for our Materials & Corrosion Engineering Practice in Atlanta, GA. You will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in your technical area of expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities
- Significantly increasing Exponent's materials and metallurgical consulting efforts
- Analyzing a wide variety of materials failures using field inspections, engineering analysis and experimental testing
- Managing and mentoring junior staff
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related field
- Business development experience with a proven track record
- The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in their field
- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff, and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
- A record of professional papers and presentations, and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy
