Responsibilities

The IT, Senior Internal Auditor will plan, oversee, and execute the day-to-day responsibilities of audits and SOX compliance, and provide guidance, direction, and feedback to the internal audit team and management, while informing the business of audit results and status.

• Ensure audit activities are executed in accordance with defined audit programs or processes to enable the achievement of desired objectives and delivery of quality results.
• Execute advanced IT audit procedures of information technology systems and infrastructures to verify systems are secure and support related applications or business processes.
• Actively support management by providing regular updates on the status of IT audits and related projects.
• Deliver and discuss audit issues and recommended actions to the business in a professional manner without compromising integrity.
• Maintain professional acumen through continued professional education, industry distributions, and publications, and perform administrative tasks as assigned within the department.
• Actively pursuing or currently hold audit-related certifications (e.g. CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM)

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: BA / BS in MIS or related field
• 3 years of IT Audit experience in public or private settings
• Possess, or actively pursuing CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM, or similar professional certifications

Critical Skills & Attributes

• Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering quality results on time
• Strong understanding of IT general controls and audit concepts / technical accounting guidelines
• Able to assess control designs and evaluate results
• Effective as both an individual contributor, team player, and lead
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications and automated audit software
