Description
Basic Function
eLearning Content Development:
- Work with subject matter experts to acquire content needed for online learning delivery. Using eLearning authoring software, develop eLearning content.
- Development includes layout and design, script writing, creation of attached documents, audio recording and editing, video integration, graphic design and animation, interactivity creation, branching scenarios, quiz development, game development and publishing of content.
- Review and proof content created by other content developers for accuracy, functionality, etc.
- Upload developed content to the learning management system, including applying credit hours, course description, course categories, audiences, etc. Discontinue courses as necessary. Merge course content with necessary.
- Documentation of content creation, revisions, discontinuation within internal database for tracking.
- Create visual concepts, using graphic design software, to create content elements that are interactive, informative, and captivate learners. Content elements are primarily consumed within eLearning courses and for the promotion of online learning programs or courses on the learning management system.
Learning Management System Administration:
- Curriculum creation within the learning management system.
- Upload banner ads to promote learning on the homepage of the learning management system.
- Design and build workspace pages on the learning management system.
- Content changes within the associate learning platform, requiring uploading of new 3rd party course content. Review potential new content by taking courses online.
- Upload/post recorded training sessions to the learning management system.
- Building reports on the learning management system as requested by Express Franchisees, Developers, and other users.
- Work with job portlet for job title updates and promotions within the system.
- Backup to the Learning Management System Administrator for user account set up and terminations, training plan enrollments, etc.
- Special projects within the learning management system, including research and testing of system updates.
Customer and Technical Support:
- Participate in roleplays with the New Franchisee training class.
- eLearning customer support to franchisees, their staff and associates. Answer questions via phone and email in a professional and encouraging manner.
- Coach new users on accessing the Express University Online website and courses.
- Technical support of eLearning courses and EU web site technical challenges.
Typical Requirements or Skills
Strong skills with Microsoft Office products. eLearning experience or comparable skills or experience, such as content layout and design. Experience with graphical design and/or audio or video production software products. Learning management system or database experience. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, high levels of accuracy and excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-initiative for required tasks and a strong collaborator. Results-driven with a desire to deliver excellent work.

Oversee major projects, making decisions on the outcome and deliverable of the project. Provide expert advice to leadership on eLearning deliverables, technologies, and approaches to adult online learning. Researches and resolves issues on behalf of the team and leader. Makes decisions on training deliverables based on information received from subject matter experts.
Education or Experience Required
5 years’ experience or degree required. See Typical Requirements or Skills section above.
