Express Employment in Redding is seeking experienced Apartment and Building Maintenance Technician. We have a position open in Susanville, CA. This is a full time, permanent position. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU LIVE IN SUSANVILLE (OR SURROUNDING AREA) OR CAN RELOCATE IMMEDIATELY.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Correctly maintain areas in a safe and hazard free condition.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Performs move in/move out repairs.
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Performs minor carpentry projects, hangs shelves, pictures, repairs cabinets, etc.
- Changes air filters as needed, at least quarterly.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE and Qualifications
- Proven experience as maintenance technician.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Justice background check, fingerprinting, and drug screen
