Park Maintenance - Barber Park - Urgent Hire

Express Employment is hiring for seasonal maintenance workers for Barber Park!

SEASONAL: Ending September 10th

Schedule: Full-Time, 5 days/week, some holidays

Hours: 8 hours/day, hours vary

Pay: $16.00/hour

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs a variety semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to the operation and maintenance buildings and grounds and set up and removal of events; performs related duties as required.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs a variety of minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting tasks.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintains grounds: mows, weeds, rakes, cuts and prunes bushes, plants flowers, irrigates, landscapes, and removes snow;
• Operates equipment including: Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of facilities; picks up and removes trash, sweeps and mops floors, cleans windows and restrooms, etc.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Previous maintenance experience a plus.
• Knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of facilities.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance.
• Ability to interact effectively with the co-workers and the public.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to operate and clean a variety of hand and power tools, safely.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles (including light trucks) safely.
• Ability to perform maintenance and repair work safely.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the State of Idaho
• Must be available to work variable shifts and work some overtime

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

• Required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions;
• Frequently carries tools and equipment and may be required to lift up to 50lbs.
