Commercial Sales - Flooring

Position is responsible for driving commercial sales in the territory through new customer acquisition and growing relationships with existing customers.

What you will do as a Commercial Sales Representative:

• Develop list of target customers and develop strategies to get past the gate keepers.
• Prepare complete estimates-to include complete estimates, cover letters, cost breakdowns, clarifications, scopes, and exclusions.
• Schedule and attend project job walks with customers, vendors and employees.
• Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparations.
• Complete material take-offs.
• Work with vendors in securing competitive pricing for materials and subcontractor components.
• Review customer blueprints, color selections and all job associated paperwork to complete scopes of bid requests and work.
• Stay current with all market trends and code changes.
• Work closely with Production Install Team on scheduling, project needs and any other assistance to complete the scope of work.
• Strong focus on customer service and quality.
• Develop relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Effectively organizes, prioritizes, and manages multiple projects.

What you will need to be successful:

• Must have commercial flooring sales experience.
• Self-starter/sales hunter.
• Experience in understanding blueprints, bid specifications, project manual's, proposals, and other documentation.
• Proficient in use of computers and writing emails.
• Proficient working knowledge of construction codes and industry guidelines.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with company employees and vendors
• Prior flooring industry product and/or installation experience.
• Knowledge of customer service technique

How you will be compensated:

• Base salary plus commission (up to $100k)

Experience:

• Commerical Flooring: 3 years (Preferred)
• Commercial Sales: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
