Expro is currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join the Finance team based in Houston.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the efficient operation of the payroll department ensuring that all employees receive accurate and timely payment in compliance with legislation and company policies and procedures. Supervise the production of timely and accurate documentation to management and external parties are required.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
1. Ensure monthly and weekly payrolls, including multi-currency, are actioned in a timely manner and in compliance with Company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
2. Ensure that reports generated from the payroll department are actioned in a timely manner and contain accurate information
3. Ensure weekly/monthly payments by BACS or international T/T’s are processed in a timely manner and contain accurate information.
4. Oversee the reports to Region Finance managers as per schedule (e.g. monthly) ensuring their accuracy
5. Oversee the recording and filing of data. Release of approved reports and processing of payments to external parties are approved in line with procedures and compliance
6. Plan and organise year ending documentation processing for the relevant locations
7. Respond to or give advice to colleagues on any payroll queries
8. Undertake the responsibilities of the management and mentoring of the payroll team
9. Liaise with team members, internal and external departments as and when required to ensure all questions and queries are resolved in a timely manner. Liaise with manager on any issues or concerns with the documentation to be processed.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
1. Payroll qualification
2. 7 years previous work experience within a payroll environment
3. Management / Supervisor experience
