Position Summary:
The Casing Technologies Product Champion will be responsible for providing technical, operational, and business input throughout the lifecycle of all Casing Technologies products. This is accomplished through business and technical savvy, product knowledge, big-picture vision and the ability to bring this vision to market. The scope and scale of this vision is to understand market problems to such an extent that innovative solutions can be realized and implemented to meet those market needs, resulting in growth of the product line.
This position will serve as a product champion, both internally and externally. As such they must be able to communicate with all areas of the company as well as with key customers.
Key Accountabilities:
Work directly with the Casing Product Line Manager to support product development and business growth of Casing Technologies.
Develop product business case with internal and external customers
Develop product requirements in collaboration with customers, operations, and engineering
Support product development and testing
Develop and execute field test/introduction and marketing strategy
Develop and monitor planning and operations procedures
Collaborate with customers, operations, sales, and engineering on all aspects of the product
Oversee manufacturing and production to ensure equipment is available for deployment
Work closely with the asset teams to ensure equipment utilization affords the greatest return on investment
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or 7-10 years applicable experience in Oil & Gas required, preferably in Oil & Gas field operations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Operational experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Proven expertise of the applicable systems, technology, and application of products
Ability to compile and analyze operation data
Strong communication and negotiation skills, written and spoken
Field testing experience
Results-oriented mindset (high sense of urgency, determination, tenacity, etc.)
Strong technical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
Strong project management skills
Ability to travel up to 20% each month
DUTIES:
Provide tactical product management for designated products, working closely with sales, marketing, manufacturing, production, assets, finance, commercials, operations, and engineering
Create and execute on the market penetration of designated product into available markets, working to support the sales organization by providing merchandising support, meeting with customers, and supporting training events
Create and maintain annual budget for product line and action plans for necessary corrective actions, market penetration, or further development
Create New Market Entry business case as required
Participate in the development and maintenance of the designated product’s business plan
Assist with the creation and maintenance of presentations, brochures, specification sheets, training manuals, operational manuals, etc.
Coordinate the cross-functional resources required to realize the full value of the product
Support sales as the number one advocate and subject matter expert for the product.
Maintain a regular presence with customers to collect market intelligence and communicate same to Stakeholders throughout the organization
Provide training to transfer product knowledge to the sales, operations, commercials, and technical teams
Establish communication and support networks and develop internal and external communication plans
Develop and monitor key performance measures
Prepare post-job summaries and case studies, and draft technical papers and articles to develop awareness of the product
Perform other duties as required and assigned
