Job Description:

We are seeking meticulous and skilled cabinet painters to join our finishing team. This role involves applying finishes to our high-quality products, which require careful handling and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment or the construction trade, or equivalent education/training, with a focus on painting or finishing. Mechanical aptitude and good color vision are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and priming as needed.
• Apply paints, stains, and other finishes to cabinets and parts using hand tools, spray guns, or brushes.
• Maintain precision and consistency in finish application.
• Demonstrate physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting heavy materials (up to 70 pounds).
• Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized shop.
• Assist in loading and unloading cabinets and organizing materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with the team.
• Perform touch-ups and repairs on finished products as needed.
• Record product and processing data accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in painting, finishing, or a related field is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a production facility with noise and dust, and without air conditioning.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted regularly.
• Good near vision for detailed work and color vision for accurate color matching.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Painting and Finishing: Understanding of paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishing materials and techniques.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and equipment used in painting and finishing.
• Equipment Maintenance: Routine maintenance on painting equipment and determining necessary maintenance.
• Arm-Hand Steadiness and Manual Dexterity: Steady hand and arm control, and ability to grasp, manipulate, or apply finishes precisely.
• Color Vision: Ability to distinguish colors and achieve accurate color matches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
