We are seeking dedicated RN Managers to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the DON or Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for managing the clinical care of residents by assigning different tasks to nurses within the department ensuring nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

RN Managers must have the following:
· Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
· Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
· 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
· Long-Term Care and MDS experience preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and team development skills.
· Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction.
· Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteer, and other facility staff.
· Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to organize and prioritize work.
· Maintains Facility dress code and hygiene policies.
· Ensures all elements of the Facility Abuse Policy are maintained and enforced.
As a skilled, compassionate RN Manager, you will:
Makes frequent rounds to note resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
Ensures appropriate staffing levels are met assigns staff to units as needed.
Gives and receives the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
Ensures assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, med. Cart, medication room, etc.), resident/patient care rooms and treatment areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
Ensures medication rooms and medication carts are locked according to regulation.
Monitors supplies and orders as needed.
Attends regularly conducted staff meetings as scheduled by the Director of Nursing/Unit Manager.
Manages and participates regularly in continuing education in-service programs.
Assists the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Manages the clinical care of residents by assigning different tasks to nurses within the department..
Participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services.
Assists with and/or admits transfer, and discharge residents as required.
Completes accident/incident reports or investigation as necessary.
Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
Provides staff training to nursing department members, residents and/or family members on policies and procedures as directed by the DON.
Ensures that thorough, accurate communication takes place between nursing shifts to facilitate follow up on resident care needs.
Conducts shift meetings with nurses and nursing assistants.
Greets newly admitted residents upon admission. Escorts them to their rooms as necessary.
Other duties as directed by supervisor.
