When Ms. Sophia was developing her programs, she wanted a name that expressed her joy in working with families and their children with the thought in mind ‘nothing is too good for my students’! She goes above and beyond to ensure the families, staff and community needs are met.

Montessori education is focused on nurturing each child's potential by providing learning experiences that support their intellectual, physical, emotional and social development. In addition to language and mathematics, the Montessori Curriculum also covers practical life, sensorial, and culture work..
Available Shifts: All shifts Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:00a - 6:45p. Full time and part time hours are available. We are also hiring substitute roles.
As a Assistant Guide with extravagant kidz academy, you have the opportunity to make a difference in a child's life. They will look to you for positive interactions and high engagement in their time spent with you. You encourage students to not only be their best but to be responsible contributors in our community.
Your Role: To considered for employment, applicants must
- Be at least 18 years of age; proof of high school graduation/GED equivalent required. Some college hours preferred;
- Have exceptional customer service experience;
- Have reliable transportation or means to arrive to work on time;
- Be available to work anytime between published shifts;
- Be flexible and able to adjust daily routine or work schedule based on the needs of the program;
- Be knowledgeable or have experience with activity and lesson plans;
- Be knowledgeable about the developmental stages of children;
- Be knowledgeable of Texas Minimum Standards for Afterschool Programs;
- Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and possess excellent interpersonal skills;
- Have the ability to apply common sense, understanding, and sound judgment to carry out essential functions.
- Have the ability to instruct children and manage their behavior;
- Have the ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms with staff, children and parents;
- Have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude;
- Be able to handle multiple tasks and receive directives from multiple supervisors;
- Have CPR and First Aid training or willing to get upon hiring;
- Provide a clear background check;
- Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary.
Job Type: Full time or Part time employment
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, d.o.e
Schedule:
2-8 hour shifts per day, Monday to Friday 6:00a - 6:45p
Experience:
Childcare - 1 year (Preferred)
Applicants should have a minimum of one-year successful experience in a state regulated child care facility or educational setting required.
