Extreme Trailers is seeking a full time Buyer/Planner 1. Extreme is a growing manufacturer in Dover, OH building aluminum flatbed, step deck, and end-dump trailers. We are leading the way in innovation for the transportation industry with our lightweight, low maintenance products.
Job Description
As a Buyer/Planner 1, you will be responsible for production planning, purchasing, and fulfillment. Working cross-functionally with several departments, you will also support Sales, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering as well as interface with Finance/Accounting, to drive production.
Responsibilities
· MRP and Production Planning
· Create and maintain MRP/build plans with input from Sales, Operations and Supply Chain partners.
· Monitor build plan and inventory levels in the warehouse.
· Schedule Work Orders in the fabrication shop.
· Prepare and present MRP, inventory, and supply reports to management.
· Track and manage supplier delivery schedule and resolve supply issues.
· Prioritize supply requirements, adjust for ECOs, and schedule changes.
· Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.
· Manage inventory levels to set and maintain safety stocks and lead times.
· Manage VMI partners, including communicating production changes that may affect stock levels.
· Identify alternate sources for components with better cost/quality/delivery.
· Request quotes; negotiate purchase terms, delivery schedules, and performance measurement with suppliers.
· Prepare and enter PO in Sage100 ERP System for confirmed orders.
· Obtain internal approvals; document and communicate PO changes to suppliers.
· Verify receipt of goods on POs and input receipts in Sage100.
· Support Operations with shipment tracking and order status updates.
Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities)
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
· Experience with ERP System/MRP System a positive
· Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
· Ability to take direction and communicate effectively
· Demonstrable experience in creating comprehensive MRP reports and analyses
· Strong analytical skills required
· Must be highly detail-orientated
· Must be able to thrive in a start-up environment with constant change
· Must have a strong sense of ownership and be able to drive issues to closure
· Must be a self-starter who is hands-on with projects and assignments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
