POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of eCommerce provides strategy for the department and expertise to implement a best-in-class marketing strategy for Exxel’s eCommerce businesses (Amazon 3P and 5 DTC brand websites). This position is responsible for developing and implementing a high impact digital strategy, liaising with the brand marketing, sales, and product teams to support business growth and objectives. Responsible for forecasting, planning and securing inventory for DTC business.

This role manages a small but growing team, executing the ecommerce marketing plan to economically drive online sales for our direct to customer sites as well as manage our Amazon marketplace business. This will be a high-visibility position, requiring a driven self-starter who can work closely with internal business units and external partners on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leads, develops, and manages all digital marketing efforts across online channels including: Amazon, SEM, SEO, Affiliates, Display, Shopping Feeds, Retargeting, and Email
  • In collaboration with Product and Sales teams, develops and executes a marketing plan to drive cost effective, qualified shopper traffic to our sites and online marketplaces.
  • Develops, manages, executes, tests, and optimizes SEO, A Content, AMS, DSP, Google Ads, Social Media Advertising, and other digital advertising platforms to increase performance in acquisition and re-marketing.
  • Creates and adheres to the eCommerce marketing budget; monitoring, measuring and reporting on effectiveness of marketing spend.
  • Day to day management of Amazon Vendor and Seller Central accounts and Brand Registry. Working with internal Dealer Service, Customer Service, and Operations teams to maintain proper account health.
  • Executes on annual revenue and ROI goals.
  • Pulls analytics and sales data to make educated decisions on how to grow or optimize programs.
  • Reports on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance, including providing post-mortem analysis and key learnings from tests and promotions.
  • Manages and drive cost effective, qualified shopper traffic to our non-ecommerce web sites.
  • Works within a cross-functional teams to evaluate, conceptualize, plan, and execute new revenue driving components of online marketing programs.
  • Partner internally to develop, implement, and/or optimize effective online campaigns, digital marketing, and social media strategies that drive traffic, increase conversion, and expand sales on both D2C and Amazon websites.
  • Continuously tests new digital opportunities with current and potential partners.
  • Acts as the in-house eCommerce expert for the business to drive sales and revenue.
  • Challenges internal teams on product selections and business impact on sales and margin.
  • Ensures the online customer experience.
  • Owns the Salsify Content Management system for the business.
  • Oversees the Digital Creation for Video and Photography.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to eCommerce responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • Minimum 5-8 years of strategic ecommerce marketing experience
  • Deep knowledge & experience working with Amazon 3P, FBA and FBM required
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in both acquisition (e.g., driving qualified traffic, new customer outreach programs, email acquisition efforts) and retention marketing (e.g. conversion optimization, A/B testing, customer engagement, etc.)
  • Hands-on campaign management experience, Google Ads, and Facebook and Instagram advertising, Google Shopping Actions
  • Experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns and tools used to support efforts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities across different stakeholders
  • Strong background in data analytics, including Google Analytics
  • Self-motivated, proactive, positive, results-oriented approach to work
  • Prior Content Management System experience a plus.

BUDGET QUALIFICATIONS:

Control over the eCommerce budget, and performance of online product.

Salary range for the eCommerce Manager position is $85,000-$100,000 annually based on education and prior experience.
