Quality Assurance Specialist
Job title: Quality Assurance Specialist/MIL
Division/Department: Quality Assurance
Reports to: QA Manager
- Full-time Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists Quality department, and other departments as needed, with planning and carrying out testing of electrical components in compliance with MIL Specification Qualifications and Retention requirements. Develops and maintains testing plan for required reporting periods by conducting tests, performing product inspections, writing QA procedures and specifications, operating equipment, collecting data and preparing technical reports. Technician will work closely with Engineering to achieve goals and in improving testing or product capabilities. QA Technician will also assist in additional Quality department responsibilities, such as calibration, FAIs, etc.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Conduct tests and collects data
- Assists in additional Quality functions as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and proficiency in writing technical reports.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects, meeting deadlines, while maintaining a positive, “Can Do” outlook, a cooperative nature and a “Team” attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred
- Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to establish priorities, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
