Discover your exciting roleThe Process Estimator is responsible for supporting the preparation and coordination of conceptual and detailed estimates for various complex projects. Will support the quantitative development of material, labor, and subcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination of information among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and project teams.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities- Supports the estimate plan and estimate development with the project team
- Prepares Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunction with the Project team
- Supports the development of the total project estimate; detailed and/or conceptual
- Prepares the total Project Basis of Estimate
- Analyzes and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Supports vendor and subcontractor solicitation, pre-qualification and coordination of pricing
- Reviews subcontractor and vendor bid packages
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred
- 5 years of experience in the commercial
- construction industry
- 2 years of competitive bid experience preferred
- Ability to prepare conceptual cost model estimates from limited information using local historic cost information
- Understands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawings
- Ability to effectively perform material take offs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills
- Ability to travel to support both project and corporate needs
