IT Business Continuity Management (BCM) Cloud Specialist

The opportunity
The IT Risk Management (ITRM) function creates and maintains EY Technologies' risk management framework, processes, tooling, and strategy. Our primary objectives within our team are to enable Information Security to build a risk-aware culture, reduce IT risk, defend against internal and external threats, and protect client and EY data.

Your key responsibilities
In the role of IT BCM Cloud Specialist, you will be responsible for the governance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) processes for the cloud platform with Client Technology (CT) using established policies and procedures. You will work with relevant teams to identify gaps and improvement opportunities to enhance the BC/DR processes within the cloud platform.
As a Supervising Associate in the ITRM BCM team, you will:
- Provide technical expertise on maintaining resiliency and redundancy within various cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Define disaster recovery strategy, and develop and test disaster recovery plans for cloud applications
- Assist with managing and remediating business continuity related risks for the cloud platform
- Support activities to maintain Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and BC/DR compliance for the cloud platform within CT
- Develop, maintain, and test business continuity plans for the cloud platform within CT
- Identify improvement opportunities for the BCM processes within the cloud platform
- Provide business continuity cloud training and awareness sessions to business and technical teams
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain day to day BCM program activities within the cloud platform

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Understanding of IT risk management, preferably in a multinational environment

- Ability to communicate risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences

Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Information Technology, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Risk Management, Cloud Technology, or similar role.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- One or more of the following or equivalent certifications: BCI Certification (Business continuity Institute - AMBCI, MBCI), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- Microsoft Azure Certification
Preferred Experience:
- Technical knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Disaster recovery and IT resiliency in MS Azure Cloud environment
- In-depth understanding of ISO 22301, 27002, ISO 27001, ISO 31000 frameworks and applying these frameworks
- Project management methodologies and Service delivery - preferably service transition.
- Familiarity with local and regional regulatory requirements and how they impact IT policies
- Appreciation of the benefits of appropriate internal controls and risk management
- Experience with RSA Archer

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $87,200 to $158,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $104,600 to $179,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
