The Patient Services Representative Job Duties May Include:
- Contact patients prior to their appointments to obtain correct insurance and demographic information for preparation of their medical charts
- Accurately enter patient information into the computer
- Check for valid insurance plan referrals
- Verify co-payments; copy insurance cards
- Check the patient out after the visit
- Collect appropriate payment and issue receipts
- Complete financial/payment arrangements for lab patients
- Batch daily registration forms
- Complete daily cash reports
- Answer patient questions.
Skills/Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Training and/or experience in bookkeeping preferred
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced, high volume medical office environment
- Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to meet deadlines
