Job Title: Billing Specialist

Revenue Cycle Management - Part time, Monday/Wednesday/Friday (on site)

We are looking for a knowledgeable Billing Specialist to join our team who possesses a high degree of professionalism, excellent communication skills, is dependable and able to work independently.

Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Job duties based on experience and knowledge may include, but not limited to:
• Patient and/or insurance payment processing
• Review and processing of insurance claim denials
• Utilization of aging reports and work flow processes to address outstanding claims
• Review of daily charges and insurance claim processing
• Daily deposit preparation
• Obtaining authorizations for procedures
• Communication with patients in office and on the phone regarding billing and insurance
• Communication with insurance companies, financial assistance programs, collection agencies
• Educating patients on financial assistance programs
• Processing patient statements, reviewing patient past due accounts and collection activities
• Processing charges for surgical procedures
• Communication as needed with the physicians in regards to patient treatment options
• Processing patient and insurance refunds
• Insurance verification



Job Requirements:

• Previous billing experience preferred, but not required (willing to train)
• Looking for someone with:
• Attention to detail
• Accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
