Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include performing various diagnostic tests, maintaining patient records, and providing support in the optical department. Duties:
- Conduct pre-examination tests such as measuring visual acuity, depth perception, and color vision
- Perform diagnostic tests including tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
- Assist optometrists with contact lens fittings and adjustments
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens hygiene
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting payments
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training as an Optometric Technician is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in medical billing and coding processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients
- Basic understanding of human physiology and anatomy related to eye care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
