Part-time Receptionist/Medical Assistant
The prospective candidate must have an outgoing and great personality. This person should stay focused on daily tasks to allow patients to have an excellent experience from making their appointment and getting their eyes checked to checking out so they look forward to seeing us again. These tasks could include helping with checking patients in/out, running patient tests, answering phones, assisting doctor as needed, pulling/filing charts, learning patient management software, entering patient information in medical software systems, scanning paper charts in paperless software, learning patient communication software system, scheduling appointments and helping to serve as a team member around the office as needed. A background in insurance billing would be a plus or being willing to learn and master utilizing websites/software to bill insurances, answering patient questions about billing, scanning insurance information into a data base and generating progress reports.
