Hours: Full-Time
Hours vary depending on doctors’ schedules; Must be available between 7:15 AM-5:45 PM Monday-Friday. Opening and closing rotate. May need to travel to other offices.

High school diploma or equivalent. Further education preferred.
At least one-year experience in eye care, or medical environment a must.

Job Responsibilities:
- Treat patients with respect, empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns
- Checks patients in, greeting everyone in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Tracks patients in the reception area and communicate with them, as needed.
- Stocks and keeps reception area neat and refreshments maintained
- Scans patient’s insurance cards and driver's license.
- Represents the practice professionally
- Presents and collects fees, posts payments, makes next appointment.
- Places telephone calls to no-show appointments; reschedules as needed.
- Places charts in bin for specific physician or technician.
- Monitors accounts that are past due and collects at checkout.
- Marks arrival time of patients in office and make sure that patients are seen on time.
- Maintains own cash drawer and is responsible for balancing daily with payments posted and credit cards processed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly computer area.
- Follows up on all details in a timely and complete manner
- Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received, completed, and signatures obtained.
- Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
- Ensures that proper authorization or referral is collected from the patient.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA, State and Federal regulations
- Assists other front office personnel as needed
- Performs other duties as required.
