Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Follow blueprints or specifications to ensure accurate painting of surfaces
- Repair damaged areas by replacing or repairing drywall, plaster, or stucco
- Install fixtures such as crown molding or baseboards
- Use airless paint spraying equipment for large-scale painting projects
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols and use protective gear when necessary
Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Experience with drywall repair and installation
- Familiarity with plastering techniques
- Ability to operate airless paint spraying equipment
- Competency in construction painting techniques
- Proficient in using hand tools for surface preparation and finishing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
