What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at F.C. Dadson?
As a member of our Project Management team, you are expected to effectively work with clients, General Contractors, Subcontractors and other outside vendors on multiple simultaneous projects in various locations. Essential Functions
· Customer service driven. You must work with a diverse client and customer base.
· The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Construction or Commercial field.
· Develop, manage and meet scope, schedule and budget while updating change orders in a timely manner.
· Analyze bids and issue contract documentation; track contractor insurance certificates.
· Ensure the completion of construction, punch-list and close-out processes (on-time and on-budget) and assemble all warranty and legal closeout documentation for projects, ensuring all items are in order for final completion and payment.
· Coordinate communications with on-site Project Managers at weekly meetings with clients, contractors, vendors, government agencies, end-users and other stakeholders; generate weekly written reports.
· Review, approve and validate pay applications, invoices, lien waivers and other construction and payment documentation.
· Up to 20% travel is required for this position.
· Excellent organizational, prioritization, written and spoken communication skills are required.
· Able to effectively review and understand Architectural plans/blueprints.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive-level external and internal customers.
· Strive to be a highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable professional who can work independently.
· Must have the ability to navigate software programs such as Procore, A360, Smart Sheets, AutoCAD, Take Off, Blue Beam, Sage 100 and more.
· You will be required to visit jobsites to take field measurements, attend onsite meetings and answer questions directly related to the project.
· Interface effectively with all FCD departments including PE’s, Engineers, Purchasing, Scheduling, Shop personnel, Shipping, Installers, etc.
· Requires the skill set to direct projects from start to finish and be willing to accept the accountability of what this position requires.
· You should be self-motivated and have the qualities of a leader.
Working conditions
· May work in all weather conditions.
· May work around chemicals, biohazards, fumes and electrical or mechanical hazards.
· Will need to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
· Most of the time will be spent in a standard office setting at a desk for long periods of time.
