The Operations Coordinator will oversee and assist in the daily operations of the office, inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure all duties and responsibilities are being performed by working together and achieving the goals of the company.
- Working knowledge of all office, inventory, and warehouse positions.
- Workforce management: shifting team members for call outs, increased inventory and warehouse demands.
- Oversee the process of incoming and outgoing product via the company warehouse manager system (WMS)
- Responsible for overseeing the daily activity of customer accounts/activity ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist and/or resolve customer/operational issues through collaboration with appropriate team members.
- Involved in hiring, training, and re-training staff.
- Develop new and edit existing operational processes to streamline workflow.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company’s safety practices at all times.
- Other duties are required to keep the office and warehouse running efficiently and effectively.
Experience & Skills
· Knowledge of the seafood products industry is preferred.
· Perishable / frozen product experience preferred.
· Logistics/Warehouse/Inventory experience.
· Experience managing, hiring, and scheduling staff.
· Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary.
· Ability to input data quickly and accurately.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Experienced Forklift/pallet-rider required.
