What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at F & M Bank?
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes financial statements and tax returns for personal and corporate borrowers.
- Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Analyzes financial data such as income growth, quality of management, and market share.
- Generates reports to evaluate borrower’s financial status and the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
- Confers with credit trade associations and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
- Completes loan presentation forms and submits to Loan Officer and/or Loan Committee for approval.
- Performs stress testing of loans for interest rate sensitivity and concentrations.
- Compares liquidity, profitability, and efficiency ratios of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
- Visits customers' place of business with lender to view collateral and work in process.
- Assists in tracking lender/loan exceptions and tracks trends for these exceptions to include tracking
- Compares economic trends in customer's industry or similar industry to predict probability of success of new customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial documents.
- Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to perform duties using credit analysis software.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
