ABOUT THE ROLE
F&M Trust is excited to announce the addition of a Credit Officer position to meet the growing needs of the bank. Reporting directly to the Chief Credit Officer, this individual will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the overall quality of the Bank's loan portfolio. This individual will provide guidance to the credit team, approve commercial and retail (consumer and residential mortgage) loans according to credit policy, assist in developing credit policies and procedures to comply with regulations and align with the Bank's risk appetite and strategic goals, govern and enforce underwriting standards, serve as a resource to Credit Recovery team in managing workouts and liquidations, participate in a variety of committees and serve as chairperson for multiple committees in absence of Chief Credit Officer, and more.
The home office location for this individual will be at the Bank's corporate headquarters located at 1500 Nitterhouse Drive, Chambersburg, PA, or the Bank's regional headquarters located at 4050 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have specific credit officer work experience or experience in originating or underwriting commercial loans.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and specialized banking/corporate experience related to credit risk and underwriting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Above average organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to make the right, and sometimes tough, decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver's license.
