Trust Operations Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

F&M Trust is seeking a Trust Operations Specialist to support the bank's Investment and Trust Services division. The new team member will be located in the Trust Operations area at the bank's Corporate Headquarters in Chambersburg, PA. The individual will work closely with the Investment and Trust team and some other internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties to support the Trust Operations function. Duties would include processing transactions and recordkeeping for various accounts, processing disbursements, managing the payment process for Trust clients, placing mutual fund trades, reviewing and verifying details input by others before transactions become official, and more. This individual will be on the team that ensures absolute accuracy for transactions in the division. This team is the last defense to ensure E&O (Errors and Omissions) are nonexistent; failure to do so will result in unnecessary loss to the bank. Thus, someone with an extreme keenness for detail is necessary to be successful.

For an individual with comparable experience, we have a more senior Trust Operations Specialist role that would be accompanied by a competitive salary commensurate with functional experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Possesses an intense attention to detail
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously in-person, by phone, and through written communication to fellow coworkers
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and has the ability to learn other department specific systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to reach strict deadlines
• While not required, previous experience doing the same work, knowledge of estate settlement, knowledge of tax reporting, and/or an understanding of security transactions, is desired
