ClearBridge is offering Summer 2024 graduate level internships with our Equity Research Department based in New York, NY and Baltimore, MD. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES An intern with our Research Department will team up with our Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers to both identify potential new investments and to conduct surveillance of current portfolio holdings. In general, our research process focuses on analyzing a company’s balance sheet, income statement and cash flows as well as industry-specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations, and uses fundamental inputs to model future results. These inputs are based on company engagements as well as discussion with, and analysis of, customers, suppliers, distributors and competitors in the industry. The position requires knowledge of investments, economics, accounting, and statistics as well as an understanding of equity valuation procedures and theories. Strong communication and computer skills are essential. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required; candidates must be enrolled in a graduate level business program Passion for financial markets and investing Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills including fundamental analysis, financial modeling and report writing High level of motivation, initiative and work ethic Strong communication skills, both written and verbal The ability to balance multiple projects and tasks Prior work experiences or internships in the financial services industry a plus The Summer Analyst salary range is targeted for $150,000 - $160,000 annualized.
