Job Description
Job Summary
Field Service Tech to run service calls on Client Printers in the Albany, GA and surrounding area. Prior printer or copier service experience is preferred. Accountable for providing service to Client customers with leased, purchased, or third party equipment and function as the technical expert for selected products in the region.
Responsibilities
- Ascertain equipment performance problems from Customer.
- Diagnose machine performance problem.
- Fix machine through repair of parts, subassemblies, retrofit, and subassemblies; vacuum parts, machine & area as necessary.
- Test machine for performance.
- Provide preventive maintenance to all machines after service call.
- Check client's inventory of machine supplies.
- Instruct Customers/machine operators on machine operation.
- Complete required machine service logs, inventory sheets, and clear call on Laptop computer (PWS).
- Provide quality customer and relations through use of Customer management skills and other CBU Employees.
- Provide backup to other techs in Workgroup.
- Escalate technical issues to Field Engineering as necessary.
- Escalate Customer issues to manager if unable to resolve.
- Provide asset management of assigned parts, tools and other Client Assets.
- Strive for continual process improvements.
- Maintain parts and inventory.
- Drive/walk to customer locations.
- Operate cell phone, Laptop computer PWS.
- Use Laptop computer (PWS), keypad on console, manuals for diagnosis.
- Time management.
- Vehicle Management.
- Interaction with other work group members.
- Attend technical training.
- Complete required Safety training topics annually.
Required Skills
- Certifications - A will be a plus
- Computer skills are a plus
- Standby and travel are a requirement, up to 200 miles generally.
- Minimum 2 years of Printer / Copier repair experience in the public sector.
- Experience installing & troubleshooting Client printer or similar.
- Must be available to be on-call per schedule.
- Must have excellent communications and customer service skills, and demonstrate leadership and creative thinking
- Must be able to travel throughout the county and outlying areas
- Must be able to work overtime when required

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
