Job Title: Warehouse Helper Ground Floor
Reports to: Plant Manager
Job Type: Seasonal, non-exempt
SUMMARY Performs day to day activities as assigned warehouse, production operations
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Building/Assembling boxes / Pallets
- Stacking Boxes
- Sealing and packing boxes including banding.
- Cleans and maintains safe warehouse areas, as assigned or instructed
- Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.
- Follow company safety & security guidelines
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
- Other duties as needed. (Duties cannot include using power tools, fork truck, motorized equipment)
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School (Ongoing or completed),
- Previous warehouse experience (desired).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to move boxes; lifting up to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction The employee is frequently required to stand while performing the duties of this job (approx. 50%) walk (25%) and occasionally sit (25%). The employee is expected to lift or move materials (50% of workday).
MENTAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting information; judging distances and accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. The employee will be exposed to hazardous chemical by possible contact or vapors.
