Founded in 1972, Face to Face serves more than 3,000 youth annually. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor is a full-time position that oversees community based mental health. They are responsible for supervising Face to Face’s Children’s Mental Health Targeted Case Management services and community based therapeutic services, clinical interns, clinical trainees and will provide direct services as needed to youth within the assigned programs. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily operations of the Children’s Mental Health Targeted Case Management services, providing culturally responsive case management services to children considered to be “Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED)” according to MN statutes.
  • Collaborate with the community and Ramsey County for service provision and resources.
  • Coordinate and attend program meetings, Ramsey County Children’s Mental Health Case Management Supervisor monthly meetings, and related activities.
  • Manage Case Management referrals and staff assignments for new clients.
  • Conduct direct client case management services as needed to provide coverage for the team.
  • Provide treatment supervision for recipients of Targeted Case Management Services.
  • Review documentation of service activities to ensure program deliverables are being met, ensuring that each case manager is managing an appropriate case load according to program goals, maintaining client records, and completing documentation in a timely manner. The productivity target for face-to-face client meetings for each case manager is 15 per month. The supervisor will support case managers in reaching or coming close to this target each month.
  • Ensure treatment plans and all supporting documentation meet quality standards and participate in Quality Review Process.
  • Attend and support weekly team Mental Health meetings, including consultation and group supervision.
  • Effectively supervise program staff: provide guidance and direction, onboarding, clinical supervision and consultation, modeling, training, performance evaluation; make recommendations to manager for hiring, corrective action or disciplinary action, and other personnel actions.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection and supervision of Master’s Level Clinical Interns. 
  • Verify that staff are providing services in a cultural responsive and linguistically appropriate manner. Support staff in building professional relationships with children and families while helping them navigate the mental health system. Support staff in building effective professional collaborations with community providers.
  • Ensure staff maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, agency policies and other applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards.
  • Provide all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness.
  • Provide culturally responsive outpatient therapy services according to productivity standards and supervision needs of the department as outlined by Mental Health Manager.
  • Provide culturally responsive mental health resources and therapy for youth ages 11-24, including diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, collateral services, mental health referrals, crisis management, and documentation in electronic health record compliant with DHS standards.
  • Build effective professional collaborations with community resources, providers, county and state workers, and partners to facilitate referrals and appropriate service provision.
  • Complete client documentation in compliance with DHS standards in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, agency policies and other applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MN Licensed Mental Health Professional, LMFT, LPCC or LICSW;
  • MN Board approved clinical supervisor;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience;
  • Experience providing county case management services preferred;  
  • Experience providing individual, group or family therapy with youth.                                                                 
  • Experience with severely emotionally disturbed children and their parents;
  • Experience working with adolescent populations of diverse backgrounds; 
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of community resources available to youth and their families

LOCATION:

Hybrid – This role allows for a mix of onsite and remote work, based on the needs of the organization. Employees are required to be fully onsite during the initial 3-month training period.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities typical of an office environment.
  • Reliable source of transportation (a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance are required if using a personal vehicle).
  • This position works during normal business hours and may include some evening hours.
  • This position may provide services in the community, in client homes or other community-based settings and may come into contact with common allergens, pets and communicable diseases.
  • Face to Face is subject to the government mandate requiring employee COVID vaccination. All employees will be required to get vaccinated.

PAY & BENEFITS: 

The pay rate for this position is between $70,000 and $75,000 annually based on qualifications.
