Meta is seeking a seasoned professional to join our design, engineering, and construction organization as NorAm Geo Preconstruction Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our leadership and delivery teams to manage projects from design kick off through to break ground on site and contract execution. The role is responsible to analyze procurement options, onboard partners and provide leadership oversight on the preconstruction phase of the project. The selected candidate will be extremely familiar with procurement, budgets. scheduling, constructibility, and negotiation of large-scale mission critical projects. This is a people manager role and experience in managing, mentoring and coaching people is critical.

Manager, Preconstruction, NorAm Geo Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Preconstruction Professionals that manage the pre-contract aspect of new build, lease and retrofit projects.
- Lead and influence stakeholders on high impact initiatives across our delivery organization and broader design/engineering and construction teams to de-risk project delivery (i.e., labor availability / productivity, competition for talent.)
- Oversee reporting of project status, risk, budget, and schedule guidance including reporting key performance indicators and presenting to management.
- Interface with engineering to develop scope criteria, budgets and schedules for new products and projects.
- Support our build strategy including supply chain analysis, vendor selection and developing a roadmap for procurement and contracts options for new projects.
- Provide “bid levelling” to analyze prospective external partner responses by analyzing proposal to ensure scope of work is complete and pricing information is accurate including providing recommendation of successful bidder.
- Maintain industry connections and develop database of prequalified external partners / potential new partners for design, engineering, and construction services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or equivalent technical degree and/or minimum of Fifteen (15) years direct professional experience in Commercial Management, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Five (5) years direct experience in managing people including leading teams, coaching, mentorship, and recruiting.
- Familiar with large capital programs, ground-up construction and greenfield site development as well as retrofit construction.
- Proficiency in all aspects of Preconstruction: Budget Development, Scheduling, Change Management, Risk Management, Negotiation, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mission Critical/ Data Center experience is a preferred.
- General Contractor experience as a Project Executive, Preconstruction Executive and / or Business Unit Leader.
