We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator - Estimator Assistant to join our dynamic team, who will handle these vital tasks for our Chief Estimator:
· Communicate daily with Chief Estimator to review daily assignments or tasks to prioritize day
· Receive all Invitations to Bid and Addendums from General Contractors via email throughout the day
· Set up new Estimating Folders
· Assign Estimating Job Numbers
· Retrieve Blueprints/Documents/Instructions from General Contractors
· Create Sub folders for the Invitation, Blueprints, Gear Quotes, Lighting Quotes, Emails, etc.
· Print all Project Blueprints that will impact the electrical bid
· Read through all Addendums, Bidding Instructions
· Count all Electrical elements pertaining to bidding project
· Alert Estimator to any alternatives required for the bid
· Counting and assessing blueprints, submitting project bid information to vendors, follow up and review of bids with the Estimator and Project Managers.
· Submit counts to Lighting, Gear and Fire Alarm vendors for quotes with due dates
Qualifications:
This is a detailed-oriented position that requires a well-organized, multi-tasking, team player to work with Estimating and Project Managers on a daily basis.
Must be self-motivated and understand deadlines.
Must have good phone and excellent people skills.
Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Windows Office knowledge required.
Some experience in electrical or construction helpful!!
