What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at FactoryFix?
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for all functions of CNC department, primarily programming ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up and be able to operate all machines in CNC milling machine shop
- Build fixtures
- Write and edit programs in Solid CAM
- Specify and order tooling as needed
- Accurate and efficient operation of CNC milling machines
- Assist with setups, loading tools, fixtures and touch-off tools
- Must be proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments EXPERIENCE Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with CNC milling machines such as HAAS, MAZAK, Etc SAFETY / HOUSEKEEPING
- Always work in a safe manner and ensure co-workers do the same
- Operate forklift in a safe manner as learned in forklift training course
- Use all safety attire/equipment as needed to complete the job
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, including floor space, shelving and work stations
- Before leaving each day, ensure all tools are unplugged
- Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, working condition
- Report any defective tools or equipment to the Shop Manager for repair or replacement
