Finish Utility Workers

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Finish Utility Workers to join our team in Navarre, OH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our finishing and packaging operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. If you have experience in packaging, possess strong physical capabilities, and are comfortable working with and around machinery and have a solid work and attendance history, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Complete hand finishing and assembly tasks, including folding, gluing and otherwise securing or working with finished packaging
• Operate and maintain packaging machines, including glue machines, to ensure efficient production.
• Prepare products for shipment by accurately stacking and labeling items on pallets per customer specifications.
• Read factory orders and customer specifications to complete work assignments
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Utilize basic shop math skills to measure, set up and finish materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor machine issues.
• Complete necessary documentation and data entry using basic computer skills.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous packaging experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including frequent lifting, standing, and repetitive motion.
• Basic shop math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Experience operating packaging machines, particularly glue machines, is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
