Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant you will work closely with our physical therapists to assist in providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and interventions
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Provide support to patients during exercises or therapeutic activities
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
