About this role
We are hiring a Director, CRM to lead our global CRM and lifecycle teams across both sides of the marketplace. In this role, you’ll drive our multi-year vision to continuously enhance the impact driven by our re-engagement channels, shaping the partnerships with DS, Product, Engineering, and Design, and mentoring a team of talented Marketers.
What you’ll do
- Lifecycle Vision - set the overall Lifecycle vision and define critical long-term priorities to enhance our program and expand its impact on an ongoing basis
- Personalization - partner with DS to drive our personalization agenda forward; evolve our tech stack to enable faster testing and ensure maximal impact on external channels, using our core ‘Discovery’ models
- Retailer & Brand Lifecycle - set the agenda on both sides of the Marketplace to increase the relevancy and impact of our comms on several different objectives (GMV lift, product adoption, etc)
- A/B Testing - build and grow a high-velocity testing framework aimed at constantly increasing testing throughput and reducing ship-time to production. Partner with Product and Paid Marketing to construct Omni-Channel testing that drives incremental GMV
- Lifecycle Triggers & Comms - own our core event stack in partnership with Product; deeply understand our Retailer base to drive customized comms based on highly scalable triggers
- Creative & Messaging - partner with Product Marketing and Design to develop scalable and qualitative insights-backed creatives to be deployed on owned channels
- Funnel Optimization - partner with Product to drive iGMV on Acquisition (pre-first order conversion rate optimization); build a dynamic bidding logic with Paid Marketing to fine-tune bidding and maximize Acquisition volume in parallel with the improvement in conversion rates in the funnel.
- Mentoring - grow a team of world-class Growth Marketers
Qualifications
- 10 years in growth with at least 5 years on CRM and/or Membership growth
- Experience building teams, recruiting and mentoring talent, and defining long-term career competencies for Growth teams.
- Highly analytical with deep, intuitive knowledge of metrics, funnel conversion/optimization, data structure, web analytics/tracking, attribution, payback/ltv.
- Experience partnering with DS on leveraging custom recommendation engines to personalize comms based on product recommendation and/or dynamic incentives at a global scale.
- Capable of operating in ambiguous roles and collaborating closely with adjacent functions (Product, Design, Analytics, Sales/GTM, Brand Mktg) and across pillars.
- Eagerness to take ownership of a currently fragmented process/framework.

- Previous experience working with Sales Operations/Data to expand, enrich, and segment target customer databases to power outbound motions and demand gen pipelines
Salary Range
California / New York: the pay range for this role is $188,000 to $258,500 per year.
Colorado / Washington / New Jersey: the pay range for this role is $169,000 to $232,000 per year.
This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
