About this role
Our engineering team owns the code and infrastructure that makes our marketplace work. We care about good engineering practice and love to write software that is secure, tested, easy to maintain, and can scale to millions of users. We build the foundation enabling Faire engineers to deliver world-class software quickly and safely.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and instrument our platform for delivering Kotlin micro-services
- Write automated unit / integration / system tests
- Identify design, performance, stability, and scalability improvements
- Ensure the stability and scalability of our platform by introducing system boundaries, sharding, caching, replication, eventual consistency, etc.
- Share ownership of our platform
Qualifications
- A passion for solving problems with OOP languages such as Java or C#
- A passion for writing critical code that other engineers build on top of
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to tackle real problems
