This position works as a dynamic, highly motivated individual as a member of our Health Services Clinical Team. Working with an administrative team, processes clients into various health clinics based on services provided and requested. Resolves problems quickly and efficiently and maintains excellent working relationships. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. Manages time sensitive tasks and has the ability to work independently. Under supervision, provides day to day administrative support to the assigned District Clinic Office. Greets and registers clients, promptly answers incoming telephone calls, and responds to client inquiries and requests for information. Accurately enters data and information into appropriate databases, schedules appointments, files and processes/distributes mail accordingly. Works with other clinic administrative support team and performs other general office duties.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, child protective services check, sanction screenings, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

Ability to drive a vehicle. Ability to operate keyboard driven equipment. Employee is required to walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs and carry equipment up to 25 pounds in weight as required for the position. Position frequently communicates and must be able to exchange accurate information with others verbally and in writing. Uses hands to grasp, handle or feel. Visual acuity is required to read data on a computer monitor. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

- At least two years of experience providing administrative support in a high-volume health care setting such as a health department, hospital or other medical facility.
- At least two years of experience with medical billing, database maintenance, filing systems and scheduling.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- At least two years of front-line customer service experience with excellent communication skills with the ability to interact in a friendly, service-oriented and professional manner with internal and external customers.
- Able to successfully work independently and in a team environment, be proactive, exercise good judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized, demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience with Medicaid billing utilizing Medical Portal and Harmony/Avatar Systems.
- Experience effectively communicating with diverse bilingual/multi-lingual populations.
- Bilingual or multilingual in English and another language.
