We are looking for a Safety Coordinator that has experience with implementing and maintaining Safety programs, reporting, and following OSHA compliance in a manufacturing environment. Summary of Position

The Safety Coordinator position is responsible various duties, (including but not limited to) maintaining OSHA compliance and regulations, administering Safety trainings, administering Safety Programs, keeping proper documentation, and incidents investigation. This position works closely with Human Resources and Plant Management. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to Human Resources Manager
  • Works closely with Plant Management and Human Resources Manager in OSHA compliance and reporting
  • Keeps log of accident and incident reports; follows up on with an investigation on occurrence
  • PPE Supervision (Daily)
  • COVID-19 regulations and compliance (Daily)
  • Hi-Lo Checklist Sheet (Daily)
  • Machinery Preventative Maintenance checks (Weekly)
  • Department Housekeeping checks (Weekly)
  • Paint Booth Filter checks (Monthly)
  • Fire Extinguisher checks (Monthly)
  • Water Filter checks (Monthly)
  • Crane Inspection in coordination with Maintenance (Monthly)
  • Facility Fire Drill practice (Bi-Annually)
  • Facility Tornado Drill practice (Bi-Annually)
  • Crane Certification training (Annually)
  • Hi-Lo Certification training (Annually)
  • Lock Out/Tag Out training (Annually)
  • Continuous Safety audits, maintenance, training, and evaluations of facility and job functions
  • Conduct research for new and changing laws and regulations
  • Identify and determine potential causes of injury
  • Creates solutions to problems
  • Create emergency response plans
  • New Hire Safety Orientation training as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to mobilize around facility

Education/Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelors Degree in Safety related field
  • OSHA Certification
  • Prior experience implementing Safety Programs
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Forklift Certification
  • Crane Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Other Certifications are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
