Head Swim Coach Fairmount Country Club
Fairmount Country Club, is looking for a high-energy aquatic-minded individual with a passion for coaching to lead and spearhead our youth swim program. Fairmount’s swim program has approximately 75 kids, with the season running for the months of June & July. Practices are held Monday – Thursday, with one meet per week against neighboring Clubs.
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the summer swim team and fostering a positive experience for youth swimmers, and membership and is expected to help engage interest in all aquatic programming.
This is a perfect position for a current high school Seasonal Swim coach, with an opportunity to earn additional compensation through private lessons.
Job Profile Overview
I. Program Management
- Plan and implement a practice curriculum that caters to the respective skill level of the
swimmers
- Identify clear program vision and operating strategy for all age groups
- Offer technical instruction and feedback to all participants
- Encourage a supportive team environment
- Work with parent coordinators and pool committee to foster a positive swim experience
- Create swim team lineups for all swim meets
- Plan and execute team-building and social events to promote camaraderie and team spirit
II. Coaching Supervision
- Train and supervise all swim team assistants and coaching staff
- Coordinate weekly work schedules for all coaching assistants and review/ submit weekly time sheets
- Schedule and maintain records for all private lessons
- Record keeping includes time, date, and member who received lesson
- Communicate and foster positive morale with coaches and colleagues
III. Administrative Responsibilities _
- Maintain regular communication with swimmers, parents and Club management regarding program status, schedules, and swimmer progress
- Attend any aquatic meetings as required for the position
- Respond to inbound communication from members
Desired Competencies & Qualifications
The ideal coach will possess the following:
- A high level of energy and passion for aquatic programming
- Have a WSI certification or a comparable certification from a recognized body
- Possess CPR, and First Aid, and have relevant Aquatic safety experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $3,292.37 - $3,965.00 per month
