- Valid New York State certification as a School District Administrator or School District Leader.
- A minimum of eight years of successful professional employment experience in education, including teaching, supervision, and curriculum work. Building level administrative or district-wide curriculum leadership required.
- Knowledge of the MTSS framework, positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), response to intervention (RTI), social-emotional learning (SEL), restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and family engagement.
- Ability to provide leadership and manage complex projects.
- Ability to facilitate change management within individuals, teams, and organizations, including implementing professional learning for adult learners and staff development.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to drive improvement.
- Commitment to working with students from marginalized communities through an asset-based mindset and approach.

- Coordinates all aspects of curriculum review and curriculum mapping process at the K-12 level in relationship to the Math, Science and Technology areas.
- Works to ensure articulation of related curricula areas across all grade levels.
- Facilitates and supervises the work of Lead Teachers in the related areas.
- Oversees the review, selection, ordering, and support for instructional materials in the Math, Science and Technology areas.
- Works with other Directors to coordinate the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
- Coordinates with other members of the leadership team to identify, plan, deliver, and assess professional development needs.
- Develops necessary reports, records, and similar documentation required for District or State reports. Shares Title I responsibilities with other Directors.
- Works with principals and their designees to coordinate curriculum, instruction, and assessment needs in Math, Science and Technology areas.
- Focuses the curriculum process on standards, integration, and connections, and encourages teachers to view standards as useful guides to fostering student learning.
- Assists with the preparation of proposed budgets related to curriculum and instruction.
- Coordinates the administration and scoring, and reporting of all State assessments in Math, Science and Technology areas.
- Assists with administration of any relevant summer school programs.
- Performs such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s Designee.

JOB GOAL:
To help plan, direct, facilitate and provide leadership in working with the Deputy Superintendent and others in developing and maintaining the best possible educational program and services for each student in the Fairport Central School District. Leadership emphasis will be given to facilitation of positive curricular and instructional change.
