POSITION SUMMARY:
The Yacht Management Executive position will be responsible for producing new business sales and maintaining current client relationships for the management of vessels and yachts on behalf of Fairport Global. The candidate will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote yacht management services including online and offline marketing efforts and work on cross sales efforts to leverage Fairport Global’s offering across all commercial divisions. They will develop leads, keep a constant pipeline of opportunities, and convert these into yacht management contracts to maximize the growth of the Fairport fleet. The goal is to proactively target and build up the fleet of yachts, while growing the Fairport Global brand across the industry. To deliver the required results, achieve the highest level of efficiencies & profitability, a stringent focus on improving processes and procedures via technological solutions & products is required.
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Marketing Support:
Cultivates a constant pipeline of leads for new business
Prepares Yacht Management proposals and presentations in view of business development
Creates new business by increasing the fleet of managed vessels and project management for existing clients
Integrates with the central N&J Marketing team and develops strategies and initiatives to support global sales efforts
Helps establish an approved operational budget for each yacht by consulting with the Managing Directors (US & EU) and yacht management support staff
Closes sales and obtains sales contracts
Stimulate cross selling throughout the wider MarineMax Superyacht Division
Client Relationships:
Foster close relations with Captains, Attorneys, Brokerage houses, Yacht Owners, and their representatives to proactively target, build and sustain a large fleet of yachts within the yacht management organization
Provides ongoing customer relations and support and continually checks in on team and clients to make sure the performance standards are maintained
Technology:
Leads any development of software products or implementation of products/tools with Managing Directors of the organization.
Helps develop and implement marketing technology tools to enhance business opportunities
Creates a tracking system for new business opportunity pipelines via the CRM
Applies innovative technology solutions and processes to enhance efficiencies and profitability
Provides training to Team Members on how to utilize technology tools
General:
Recommends/produces creative and effective solutions to problems. Clear and efficient problem solving
Implements efficient workflows in place to maximize a company's productivity
Designs new processes to improve quality or increases productivity or profitability
Outlines all processes and documents steps
Works closely with the firm’s Managing Directors and various yacht accounts manager(s) regarding account and budget questions and concerns
Oversees staff when direct management is not available
Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
7 years of progressive sales and marketing experience within the yachting & maritime industry
Preference for Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sales, Marketing, or relevant other degrees and/or relevant work experience may be taken into consideration
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills and adept at working both as a team and autonomously
Ability to work under pressure, extremely well organized, able to multi-task
Excellent attention to detail
Fluent English in both oral and written communications, other languages, and French a plus
Valid US Driver’s License required
Moderate Business Travel (US & International) Required
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Light lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying up to 25 lbs. Ability to walk, bend, crouch and navigate around all docks, yards, and boat areas. Motor skills and senses needed to perform duties include talking, listening, typing, writing, visual inspection of documents
