Emergency Department Technicians provide patient care and other support activities under the direction of the Emergency Department RN and medical staff. They are part of a busy Emergency Department working with providers who are community change-agents, and customer advocates that help craft the future of M Health Fairview—and a new era of health care. 40 hours per two weeks
day/evening

Responsibilities
- Performs patient care activities under the supervision of a RN and plan of care
- Identifies and reports special needs of patients and families and implements appropriate interventions as directed
- Reports all pertinent patient information to appropriate nursing staff
- Performs other duties in support of the Emergency Department such as ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
- Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions
Qualifications
Required:
6 months direct patient care experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Basic Life Support
Preferred:
Certified Nursing Assistant
EMT
